Long in planning, now finally here: LAST EXIT MUSIC brings a tribute sampler to the German RAMONES on CD that is simply incredible!
Since 1987 AXEL C. SCHULZE (vocals, bass), KARSTEN ‘SULLE’ SULEWSKY (guitar, background vocals) and PETER S. MESKATH (drums, background vocals) have had their perfect recipe for the leather jacket-Blue Jeans-Chucks- community at the start. Depending on the decade or creed, DIE or THE RICHIES (or even without DIE or THE altogether) are legends of outrageously catchy pop punk with a touch of surfing. The ‘German RAMONES’ released five great albums during their heyday from 1989 to 1996 and surprised around 23 years after WHY LIE? NEED A BEER! 2019 with the brand new movement AUTUMN FALL. In 2021, Beppo, guitarist of THE HAWAIIANS, approached the label to release a tribute sampler for the Ruhrpott Trio. Now that Beppo has been able to persuade no fewer than 27 (!) bands from all over the world to record their own interpretations of their favorite Richies songs, graphic designer Ole O’Brian cobbled together this first-class artwork based on the Deep Purple classic “In Rock”.
