TV Smith is a British punk rock musician known for his energetic performances and critical lyrics. Born in 1956, he began his musical career as the frontman of the influential punk band The Adverts in the late 1970s. With hits like “Gary Gilmore’s Eyes” and “One Chord Wonders” they quickly established themselves as an important voice in the punk rock scene. TV Smith’s distinctive voice and captivating stage presence helped make the band a popular live act. After The Adverts disbanded in 1979, TV Smith embarked on a solo career and released his first solo album, Channel Five, in 1983. Since then, he has built an impressive discography that includes a variety of studio albums, live recordings and collaborations. Misinformation Overload is 12 songs, including Es Stört Mich Nicht, which is sung in German. Originally released in 2005 and recorded with the help of Die Toten Hosen drummer Vom Ritchie, it is more of a flawless punk rock album, which is very different from TV’s otherwise quiet solo albums. Thanks to Last Exit Music, it is now being released on LP for the first time outside of Spain! Red transparent marbled Vinyl!

Geboren 1956, begann er seine musikalische Karriere als Frontmann der einflussreichen Punkband The Adverts in den späten 1970er Jahren. Mit Hits wie “Gary Gilmore’s Eyes” und “One Chord Wonders” etablierten sie sich schnell als wichtige Stimme in der Punkrock-Szene. TV Smiths markante Stimme und seine fesselnden Bühnenpräsenz trugen dazu bei, die Band zu einem beliebten Live-Act zu machen. Nachdem sich The Adverts 1979 auflösten, begann TV Smith eine Solokarriere und veröffentlichte sein erstes Soloalbum “Channel Five” im Jahr 1983. Seitdem hat er eine beeindruckende Diskografie aufgebaut, die eine Vielzahl von Studioalben, Live-Aufnahmen und Kollaborationen umfasst. Misinformation Overload, das sind 12 Songs, darunter auch das auf Deutsch gesungene Es Stört Mich Nicht. Ursprünglich 2005 erschienen und mithilfe des Die Toten Hosen Schlagzeugers Vom Ritchie eingespielt ist es eher ein lupenreines Punkrockalbum, welches sich stark abgrenzt von den sonst eher ruhigen Soloalben TVs.Dank Last Exit Music erscheint es nun zum ersten Mal außerhalb von Spanien auf LP!
